Practice Policies 

1. Nature of Services
Psychological services are provided in a professional and ethical manner in accordance with the guidelines of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Therapy is a collaborative process, and outcomes may vary depending on individual circumstances.

2. Fees & Payment
The standard consultation fee is R1 100 per session.
Payment is required:
[Before / Immediately after] each session
Accepted payment methods:
EFT / Card / Cash
If you are claiming from medical aid, you remain responsible for any shortfall.

3. Cancellation Policy
Appointments that are cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged in full.
Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without notice will be considered a missed session and billed accordingly.

4. Appointment Guidelines
Sessions are typically 50–60 minutes in duration
Late arrival will result in a shorter session
The full session fee remains applicable

5. Confidentiality
All information shared during sessions is treated as confidential.
However, confidentiality may be limited under the following circumstances:
Risk of harm to yourself or others
Suspected abuse or neglect
Legal or court requirements

6. Protection of Personal Information (POPIA)
Your personal information is collected and processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
All reasonable steps are taken to ensure that your information is securely stored and handled.

7. Emergency Situations
This practice does not provide emergency or crisis services.
If you require immediate assistance, please contact:

Emergency services
A mental health crisis line

8. Consent
By booking and attending sessions, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.
